Pakistan extends the prohibition of airspace in India until October 24


Pakistan has extended the suspension of its airspace for Indian Airlines until October 24, the Civil Aviation Authority announced Friday.

According to a notice to the aviators (Notam) issued by the Civil Aviation of Pakistan, the country’s airspace will remain closed to all the property owned, operated or leased by the Indian airlines and operators. The ban also includes military flights.

The restriction entered into force from September 19 and will continue until October 24 at 4:59 am the civil aviation authority clarified that the prohibition covers all altitudes, from the ground level to the unlimited heights.

Pakistan closed their airspace to the Indian airlines in a Tit response by eye to the measures taken by India after April 22 attack against tourists in Pahalgam in Jammu and Cashmira illegally occupied.

The restriction is causing significant losses to the Indian airlines, who have to take much longer routes to reach destinations in the Middle East, Europe and the United States.
