Pakistan has no information about citizens traveling to Israel, says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Pakistan Foreign Ministry denied Thursday having information on the reports of its citizens traveling to Israel, stating that the investigations on the matter were ongoing.

When addressing a weekly press conference, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shafqat Ali Khan, said the government was collecting information about Pakistani reports that visit Israel.

He added that any comment on the situation would be done once the details were confirmed.

Khan strongly condemned the ongoing military attacks of Israel in Gaza and Khan Younis, reaffirming Pakistan’s position against violence.

Speaking about national security, he said that Pakistan’s missiles and defense capabilities were only for the country’s safety and stability.

He stressed that the country’s nuclear program was “completely safe and invulnerable”, with missile capabilities that serve as a deterrent.

Disienting the speculation about the entry restrictions of the United States for the Pakistani, Khan declared that the United States Department of State had already denied such reports.

He also commented on the Charge d’Affires of Afghanistan that was recently convened, clarifying that such diplomatic commitments were routine.

Regarding border control, Khan confirmed that Pakistan’s deadline for the repatriation of Afghan refugees remained unchanged. He added that Torkham’s border had been reopened and would remain operational until April 15, with a long -term resolution under discussion.

On human smuggling concerns, the spokesman denied any participation of the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, adding that an investigation committee had been established to investigate related claims in social networks.

Meanwhile, he confirmed the official visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Saudi Arabia, where he met the crown prince Mohammed Bin Salman and expressed his gratitude for the continuous support of the kingdom.

Khan also criticized India’s silence about the recent attack on the Jaffer Express train in Pakistan, stating that New Delhi’s participation in cross -border terrorism was evident.
