Pakistan is left behind in the SDGs commitments

Islamabad:

Pakistan must urgently realize its development priorities with the 2030 Global Agenda for sustainable development, the Federal Minister of Climate Change Musadik Malik said Tuesday.

Speaking in the political dialogue of the Pakistan SDG for action in Islamabad, he warned that the country occupies the lowest in southern Asia in terms of SDG progress.

Currently, Pakistan is in the 137th of 166 countries in the ODS 2024 index, with a score of only 57.02, significantly behind regional neighbors such as India (63.99), Bangladesh (64.35) and Sri Lanka (67.43).
