The Pakistan Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has issued a security notice for its nationals after Iranian missile attacks in the US military bases in Qatar and Iraq.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Embassy advised Pakistani citizens in the EAU to remain in safe places and avoid areas close to military facilities.

“In the light of regional developments, Pakistani citizens are strongly urged to stay away from military areas and seek refuge in safe areas,” the statement added.

The notice occurs after Iran triggered ballistic missiles in the US military bases in Qatar and Iraq in retaliation for US attacks in Tehran nuclear sites.

Iran launched six missiles towards the US bases in Qatar on Monday night, after an earlier report that Tehran was preparing to do so.

Iran’s main security agency issued a statement saying that it has used the same amount of bombs that the United States used when hitting the Iranian nuclear facilities.

Several explosions were heard about the capital of Qatar, said Doha, said a Reuters witness, after Tehran’s threats to retaliate against US strikes in Iranian nuclear sites.
