The head of Pakistan’s army personnel, General Syed also Munir, has said that the nation’s ancestors made innumerable sacrifices for the creation of the country and the military are fully prepared to defend it.

Speaking at a parade ceremony at the Military Academy of Pakistan in Kakul, General Munir emphasized that Muslims are different from Hindus in all aspects of life: religion, customs, traditions, thought and aspirations.

“The theory of two nations was based on the fundamental belief that Muslims and Hindus are two separate nations, not one,” said the head of the Army.

He added that Pakistan’s existence is the result of an incomparable struggle and sacrifices, and remains the duty of the military to safeguard him.

“Our ancestors gave immense sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan. We know how to defend it,” he said.

Previously he was heading to the event, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had said that Pakistan is open to participating in a “neutral, transparent and credible” investigation about Pahalgam’s attack, amid increasing tensions with India.

Prime Minister Shehbaz condemned the “perpetual guilt game” of India and requested the end of accusations without credible investigations.

“The recent tragedy in Pahalgam is another example of this pattern,” he said. “Continuing with its role as a responsible country, Pakistan is open to any neutral, transparent and credible research.”

He criticized India for leveling “unfounded accusations” against Pakistan without verifiable evidence, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to support the right of Kashmir to self -determination, calling to Kashmir the “jugular vein” of Pakistan.

When addressing concerns about the recent suspension of India of the Indo Water Treaty after Pahalgam’s attack, Shehbaz warned that any attempt to block or divert the Pakistan water part would cause a full force response. He described the water as the life line of Pakistan and a vital national interest.

Shehbaz also highlighted Pakistan’s sacrifices in the world’s fight against terrorism, observing more than 90,000 victims and $ 600 billion in economic losses.
