BRUSSELS:
The parliamentary delegation of Pakistan led by Senator Sherry Rehman and the engineer Khurram Dastager, together with the ambassador Tehmina Janjua, met Lucie Sestakova (chief of cabinet) and the expert in Asia Natividad Lorenzo in the EU commission (Berlaymont).
During the meeting, the delegation warned against serious humanitarian and legal consequences of placing the swing of the Indo’s waters in suspense, underlining the need to defend the obligations of the treaty and international standards, wrote the Embassy of Pakistan in Belgium in its wall X.
The delegation reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace, regional stability and multilateralism amid recent staggered trends. They also welcomed the Development Cooperation of the European Union under the MIP and Global Linking Gate, reaffirming the alignment with shared priorities.
