Pakistan names Sheikha Asthma Al Thani as Ambassador of the brand for mountains and tourism


Pakistan named Tuesday, Princess Qatar Sheikha Asthma Al Thani as the brand’s ambassador for her mountains and tourism. The announcement follows its achievement to climb to Nanga Parbat, one of the highest and most challenging peaks in the world.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif led X to congratulate the princess and praise her feat.

Previously, Sheikha Asthma posted on Instagram: “My ninth 8000er and one of the most difficult climbing I have faced. This mountain tried me in a way that I did not expect, from black ice under my feet to rock falls every few seconds.”

Sheikha Asthma is the first Qatar woman at the Mount Everest, Lhotse, Manaslu and K2 summit, as well as the first Qatari woman in Escalar Ama Dablam.

He is also the first Qatar person in skiing to the North Pole.

In his rise to Manaslu, he became the first Arab person to accumulate a supplementary oxygen. She achieved another milestone in May 2024 by rising to Lhotse for the second time, also without supplementary oxygen, which makes it the first Arab to climb two 8000ers without using oxygen.
