Pakistan News – President of PCB MOHSIN NAQVI Orders Review of National T20 Cup Cut

Pakistan Cricket Board president (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has issued orders to review the decision to reduce players and reservations selected to play in the National Cup T20.
It is understood that the rates are expected to return to the sum of the previous edition of PKR 40,000 per game, and PKR 20,000 per game for reservations. Originally, the rates had been cut 75%, at 10,000 PKR (USD 35 approx) and PKR 5000 for reservations. Even the PKR 40,000 figure is a fall compared to 2022, when players had been paid 60,000 per game.

The decision to reduce players’ parties rates, as decided by the National PCB department, led to a tone and cry in Cricket’s circles, leaving fans and critics to wonder if the Board faced a financial crunch. However, PCB sources affirm that expenses have been executed due to an increase in national tournaments this season, leading to greater income opportunities for players.

The T20 National Cup begins on March 14, with 39 games in three cities: Faisalabad, Lahore and Finen. The final will take place in Faisalabad on March 27. Several Main International Cricket players of Pakistan will not be able to appear, and the national side went to New Zealand for five T20 and three hate.
