The Pakistan army conducted large -scale military exercises on Thursday, showing its preparation for modern combat and weapons, in increasing regional tensions with India.

According to security sources, the exercises involved manifestations of living fire and were designed to deliver a robust response to any aggression by the adversary.

Officials and troops of several units participated in the exercises, showing high -level operational skills and using advanced battlefield systems.

The exercises followed the retaliation action of Pakistan on Wednesday, when the troops destroyed an Indian control post in response to the fire of small weapons not caused through the control line (LOC) in the Kiani and Mandal sectors.

Security officials said that retaliation attacks neutralized enemy positions, including post chakputra in Jammu and Kashmir (iiojk) administered by the Indians.

Tensions among neighbors with nuclear weapons have intensified since the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 tourists. India blamed Pakistan for the incident without presenting any evidence.

The consequences have triggered a series of diplomatic and strategic retaliation steps. India suspended the Treaty of the Indo’s waters, canceled the visas for Pakistani and closed the Wagah-Attari border crossing.

Pakistan responded by expelling Indian diplomats, threatening to suspend the Simla agreement, suspend visas for Indian citizens, excluded from Sijs pilgrims, and closing the main crossing on their side.

Islamabad has denied participation in the Pahalgama attack and offered to cooperate in a transparent investigation.

Military sources reiterated that the Pakistan army remains completely prepared to counteract any form of aggression and will firmly respond if it is caused.
