Pakistan prepares to celebrate eid milad-un-nabi with full apogee


The preparations are in full apogee to celebrate Eid Milad-Ul-Nabi throughout the country on Saturday with a great religious fervor and solemnity.

This year, the Government, under a resolution approved unanimously in both Chambers of Parliament, is making special arrangements to celebrate the 1500º Milad-Un-Nabi.

Special programs are being completed to highlight the prominent aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and interreligious harmony has devised a comprehensive plan and completed all the arrangements to hold an International Seerat conference in relation to Eid Milad-Ul-Nabi in Islamabad. Prominent academics, respected ulema, diplomats and delegates of the country and abroad will attend the event.

A special MEHFIL-E-NAAT will take place on Friday in Islamabad, with the participation of Naat Khawans throughout the country.

Mosques, government and private buildings, markets, shopping centers and roads are decorating with green packages, flags and colorful lights.

Several social, educational and religious organizations are organizing their own programs to celebrate Eid Milad-Un-Nabi with zeal and devotion.

The Sindh government has announced a two-day public holiday on September 5 and 6 in relation to Eid Milad-Un-Nabi.

A notification issued on Wednesday confirmed that vacations would be observed throughout the province. The holidays correspond to Rabi-ul-Awwal, which marks the birth of the prophet Muhammad (Pbuh).

The Federal Government had previously declared on September 6 as a national holiday to mark the religious occasion.
