Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that the country reserves the right to self -defense and will respond to Indian aggression, after air attacks reported by India aimed at civil areas within Pakistan.
Talking with Sky NewsTarar strongly denied the Indian statements that link Pakistan with the incident of Pahalgam, India busy Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk).
“Pakistan is fighting this war against terrorism and no group has claimed any responsibility,” Tarar said. “This area of Pahalgam is 200 kilometers from the control line.”
He pointed out that the first information report (FIR) regarding the Pahalgam incident was registered in ten minutes and that the local police arrived approximately 1:30 hours later. “The victims were bleeding when the police arrived there,” he said, adding that India lacked credible evidence to link Pakistan to the attack.
“India has no evidence to link Pakistan with this incident, but India has attacked civilians, including women and children, today without any justifiable cause,” said the minister.
Tarar said that Pakistan had extended an offer to carry out a joint investigation and had even invited the United Kingdom to participate. “Our prime minister offered an investigation into the matter. So why did India run away?” asked.
“We told the international community that an investigation will reveal the facts,” he continued. “But the BJP, which is against Muslims and Sikhs, wanted a reason to attack Pakistan, and without any evidence, they have done it.”
Reaffirming Islamabad’s position, he declared: “Pakistani have a high moral and we will respond to Indian aggression. The answer is ongoing at this time.”
