Pakistan, push forward tariff talks



As part of the ongoing discussions of Pakistan-United States on reciprocal tariffs, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurengzeb, held a virtual meeting with the United States Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, to review and advance the negotiations. Both parties agreed to continue their negotiations through the constructive commitment to end the trade agreement as soon as possible, according to a statement issued on Tuesday. Discussions focused on a significant commitment to trade, investment and strengthening of economic ties that are mutually beneficial. It was agreed that more discussions would be made at a technical level and detailed in the next few days.
