The head of the army staff, General Syed also Munir, said that Pakistan is ready to emerge as leader in the global mineral economy.

When heading to the Pakistan 2025 Mineral Investment Forum in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said that Pakistan welcomes international institutions to introduce their experience, explore investment opportunities and associate with the country in the development of their vast resource potential.

The Army Chief emphasized that Pakistan needs engineers, geologists, operators and qualified mining professionals to take advantage of their mineral wealth. Therefore, students are being sent abroad to train to advance in this sector.

He currently said, twenty -seven Pakistani students from Baluchistan are receiving training in mineral exploration in Zambia and Argentina. He said the objective is to develop a strong workforce, experience and human resources for the mineral sector.

General Syed also said that economic security has become a critical component of national security. He said that the Pakistan army would guarantee a solid security framework and proactive measures to safeguard the interests and trust of partners and investors.

He also emphasized that the development of upstream and downstream mineral industries will be prioritized in Pakistan.

The Army Chief emphasized the importance of investing in refining and additional value in Pakistan to optimize costs and diversify markets.

He said with vast mineral reserves under the feet of the Pakistani people, skills in their hands and a transparent mineral policy instead, there is no place for despair or inaction.

He urged people to advance and fight for their country and for themselves.

General Syed also reaffirmed that Pakistani collectively assure their partners and investors to use their experience for the extraction of business and mineral wealth is a national aspiration. He stressed that Pakistan can be trusted as a reliable partner with confidence.

The Army Chief also recognized the efforts of Baloch’s tribal elders, who have played a crucial role in the promotion of mining activities and advance the development of Baluchistan.

He commented that through collaboration, the Mineral Sector of Pakistan can promote regional development, prosperity and sustainability for collective benefit.
