Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to convene urgently an organization of the Islamic Cooperation Meeting (OIC) of foreign ministers to address the ongoing developments in Gaza.

This decision occurred during a telephone conversation between the Vice Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud on Monday, Radio Pakistan reported.

The discussions continued to give Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with respect to the Palestinians, who were strongly condemned to give.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia, as well as his firm support for the Palestinian cause.

Prince Faisal expressed his gratitude for the support consistent and proven by Pakistan’s time, highlighting the importance of the lasting relationship of the two nations.

Previously, in a separate conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, GIV reiterated Pakistan’s unshakable position on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, based on borders prior to 1967, with al-sharif as Its capital.

Both foreign ministers exchanged views on the situation of the Middle East, particularly focusing on the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia also condemned Netanyahu’s comments suggesting the displacement of the Palestinians, issuing a statement rejecting any notion of a Palestinian state in the Saudi territory.

This controversy began when Netanyahu seemed to joke during an interview, suggesting a “Saudi State” instead of a “Palestinian state”, before quickly correcting himself.
