United Nations: Pakistan supports all international efforts to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, special assistant of the Foreign Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi to the UN Security Council on Tuesday.
“The conflict has prolonged for more than three and a half years and has had a great cost in innocent lives,” Fatemi said. “No dispute can be resolved by using force.”
He explained that Pakistan has supported the resolutions of the Security Council in the War and will continue to do so.
“The fight has already created a serious humanitarian crisis,” he warned. “It is also feeding the shortage of food and energy and pushing global inflation.”
Fatemi called Moscow and kyiv to “show patience and tolerance” and look for a negotiated path to follow. “Pakistan is ready to support any genuine movement that can end this conflict,” he added.
The UN Secretary General told the Security Council that it is important not to lose the “fragile diplomatic impulse” between Ukraine and Russia, and international mediators, about the end of the war.
He was informing the ambassadors in consecutive meetings in which he requested a high fire in Gaza, said that the war of “day later” ends there, must be anchored in international law, rejecting any “ethnic cleaning” of Palestinians.
Meanwhile, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, has said that he believed that Ukraine could resume all his lands occupied by Russia and that kyiv should act now, with Moscow facing “great” economic problems, in a sudden and surprising rhetorical change in favor of Ukraine.
