Pakistan’s exports have increased by 28%, reaching $ 1.86 billion, with a higher expected growth in the coming months, the Minister of State for Information Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, announced Sunday.

Speaking in Leap 2025 during the Pakistan-Saudi business forum, Khawaja highlighted the government’s commitment to expand the digital economy of Pakistan. He described the Law of the Digital Nation 2025 as a transformative initiative aimed at strengthening the country’s technology and innovation panorama.

“The 2025 Digital Nation Law is a promise to transform Pakistan’s digital economy,” he said, adding that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are improving their digital and economic association.

Khawaja also announced that Pakistan will soon organize a direct digital investment forum (FDI) in Islamabad, gathering global investors to explore opportunities in the technological sector of Pakistan.

She reaffirmed that under the vision of Pakistan-Saudita 2030, both countries are committed to strengthening ties in emerging technologies. The Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has adopted a comprehensive strategy to boost digital economic growth.

The increase in IT exports and the increase in foreign collaboration indicate Pakistan’s ambition to position itself as a regional technology center, taking advantage of strategic associations to accelerate growth in the digital sector.
