Faisalabad: The advisor of the Prime Minister of Political and Public Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, said on Sunday that Pakistan would exceed the ongoing economic crisis within two years if another “October 12” was imposed, a reference to the 1999 military coup.

The high-level leader PML-N made the comments while heading to a ceremony in Faisalabad today that was held to distribute minority cards among the religious minorities of Punjab.

On October 12, the then army chief, Pervaiz Musharraf, dissolved the Parliament and expelled the then first -level prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, in a blow without blood.

Speaking on the occasion, the leader of PML-N said: “In 1999, Pakistan was progressing in a fast track under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, but the October 12 incident occurred and the country immersed himself in unprecedented terrorism and cargo breeding.”

Prime Minister’s assistant said that in 2013, people voted again for Nawaz and overcame problems and put the country on the way to development again.

“The dollar rate was approximately RS106, the RS65 gasoline and the growth rate was 6.2%, but in 2017 a rooted conspiracy was incubated and a project was launched by expelling the PML-N government,” he added.

Sanaullah said the new experiment resulted in an increase in unprecedented prices and inflation, in addition to taking the country to the edge of bankruptcy.

He said that the government was also actively working to reduce inflation, which has already fallen from 40% to 4%, while more steps are being taken to reduce it even more.

The Government has put the country on the right path and would surely arise as a strong economy in the world after a couple of years if the rhythm of progress will continue and no incident such as October 12 would happen, he added.

Referring to the expulsion of Prime Minister Imran Khan of power in April 2022, the PML-N leader said that the country faced multifaceted crises and that people led a very miserable life when the PML-N moved a “motion of without trust” and saved the country of non-compliance.

Moving to the financial difficulties facing the country, he said: “The federal government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz and the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) led by the head of the Army personnel (COA) also Munir” were making efforts to put the country’s economy on the right path.

The government, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz, put the country on the road to progress and prosperity after saving him from breach and would arise as a strong economy after a couple of years if the rhythm of national development continued, he said.

“If the truth is said,” said Sanoullah, three pillars of the state have lost their importance, and added that only the fourth Pilar, the media, will lead the country forward.

He said that minorities are an integral part of Pakistan, since they always played a dynamic role in national development and that the Government would guarantee unity and equality throughout the country.

However, he urged people especially minorities to ignore negative propaganda and support government efforts to create an inclusive and prosperous Pakistan for all.
