Pakistan, Turkiye and Azerbaijan reaffirm the unit at the trilateral summit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif joined the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the president of Azerbaiyani, Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday, in a firm call to “reject conflicts” and prioritize peace, since the three nations had a high -level trilateral summit in Lachin, Azerbaiyan.

The meeting marked a symbolic display of unity between historically allied nations, with Pakistan, Turkiye and Azerbaijan reaffirming mutual support in long -standing regional disputes such as Kashmir, Karabakh and Northern Chipre.

Prime Minister Shehbaz was accompanied by the Vice -Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and the head of the field marshal of the Syed Army personnel also Munir. The summit is part of its diplomatic tour of four nations, which has already included visits to Turkiye and Iran. It is expected to proceed with Tayikistan next to the International Glacier Conference in Dushanbe.

When addressing the summit, Shehbaz said the world faces “serious challenges” such as conflict, climate change, disease and economic instability.

“That is why we have gathered here today, opting for compassion while rejecting the conflict,” he said. “We are sure that patience and wisdom will finally mark the beginning of peace and prosperity.”

He thanked President Aliyev for the warm hospitality and said the summit reflected “a meeting of hearts and souls of genuine and sincere supporting friends.”

Shehbaz recalled “fruitful discussions” held during the summit of the Shanghai cooperation organization last year in Kazakhstan and said that the trilateral association was prepared to rise to “new heights” in line with the aspirations of the people. “This would not be a surprise for anyone, since Pakistan, Azerbaijan and Turkiye are united by deep historical, cultural and spiritual ties forged through centuries of shared values ​​and mutual support.”

The prime minister reaffirmed solidarity with Baku and Ankara, referring to the unwavering positions of Pakistan in Karabakh and Turkish Cyprus. He pointed out: “Our strength lies in our solidarity and mutual respect.”

Shehbaz thanked both nations for their visible public support during Pakistan’s recent military confrontation with India, after Pahalgam’s incident. “We could only be hypnotized by the intensity of fervor and enthusiasm of our common citizens,” he said.

He said that India had not provided credible evidence that links Pakistan with the incident and that he had rejected Islamabad’s offer of neutral and transparent international investigation.

When he went first to the summit, President Ilham Aliyev expressed concern about the recent tensions of Pakistan-India and reiterated the solidarity of Azerbaijan with Pakistan. “We saw it very closely with the hope that peace would prevail. From the first hours, we express our solidarity with Fraternal Pakistan,” he said.

Aliyev added that the resolution through “dialogue and negotiations in line with the UN letter and resolutions” was the best way to follow.

Early in the day, Prime Minister Shehbaz also expanded sincere congratulations to Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan in his day of the Republic. “The way in which the Azeri nation fought for its liberation, you obtained a high position in the community of nations,” he said.

He also praised the management of President Erdogan of the rebel issue Kurdo, referring to the recent decision of the dissolved PKK. “That is explained in volumes, my brother, his diplomatic skills to solve this problem. A day before, Shehbaz held a bilateral meeting with President Aliyev and thanked him for the support of Azerbaijan during the recent confrontation with India. The meeting was also attended by the Munir of Coas.

According to a press release from the office of the Prime Minister, the two parties reaffirmed their commitment to diversify their strategic association and promote investment opportunities. Azerbaiyan agreed to facilitate the exchange of delegations to advance discussions about his investment in Pakistan.

In a publication about X (previously Twitter), Prime Minister Shehbaz described the visit as a celebration of “historical ties rooted in shared history, mutual trust and unwavering support between them.” He expressed the confidence that under the leadership of President Aliyev, bilateral ties “would continue to grow force by force.”
