Pakistan, Turkiye points to a commercial volume of $ 5 billion to deepen bilateral relations

Pakistan and Turkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to deepen bilateral cooperation in the key sectors, including defense, commerce, energy, culture, education and infrastructure, with both countries with the aim of promoting bilateral trade to $ 5 billion.

“Our goal is to increase our commercial relations to $ 5 billion improving cooperation in various areas, including energy, mining, education and transport,” Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Wednesday during a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Ishaq to give Islamabad on Wednesday.

During the joint press conference, both officials expressed satisfaction with the continuous progress of 12 Permanent Committees under the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC). Giving stressed that, after the February 2025 session of the HLSCC, a joint commission would soon be established to monitor the progress of these committees.

“The joint ministerial commission (JMC) is expected to be co -chaired by the Minister of Defense Turkey, Yasar Güler and Pakistan’s Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, significantly reinforce economic cooperation,” said Dar. The commission is scheduled to meet in the coming weeks.

DPM also confirmed the allocation of land in Muzampharabad for the construction of a Maarif School and declared that several important projects that involve Turkish companies were under consideration, including the privatization of energy distribution companies.

In addition, Pakistan and Turkiye are prioritizing the development of capacities in anti -terrorism terrorism. “It is considered that these initiatives feel the foundations for the eighth HLSCC to celebrate in Turkiye next year,” said Dar.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized the growing force of bilateral relations and stressed the importance of strengthening air, sea, land and railroad connections between the two countries.

In regional matters, Fidan praised Pakistan’s moderation during recent tensions with India, adding: “All international communities have seen Pakistan’s quiet attitude and attitude during the tension.” He also condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza and Iran as violations of international law, reaffirming Turkiye’s commitment with a high permanent fire and humanitarian aid in Gaza.

FM gave the visiting dignitaries and stressed the close and fraternal relationships between Pakistan and Turkiye. Turkish Foreign Minister transmitted warm greetings of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and reaffirmed Turkiye’s strong desire to deepen Cooperation with Pakistan.

He highlighted the deep historical, cultural and religious links that support the lasting relationship between the two nations.
