Pakistan urges the detainees to the West Settlements of the West Bank

UNITED NATIONS:

Pakistan has asked Israel to immediately stop their settlement activity in the occupied West Bank that has been intensified in the last three months, saying that the project violated the resolutions of the UN Security Council and undermine the peace prospects of the Middle East.

“The E-1 settlement plan is a direct assault on the framework of two states, threatening to cut Jerusalem east of the Palestinian areas and dismantle the contiguity of the West Bank”, the ambassador to Iphtikhar Ahmad, permanent representative of Pakistan to the UN, warned in a speech before the council of 15 members on Monday.

“These policies are not only unfair; they are illegal,” he said in a debate on the quarterly report of the UN Secretary General on the implementation of Resolution 2334 of the Council, which makes Israel cease immediately and completely all the settlement activity in the occupied Palestinian territory.
