UNITED NATIONS:
Pakistan has asked the UN Security Council, who met at the emergency session hours after Israel’s mortal air attacks against the objectives in Iran, who stop “this aggression immediately” and hold the aggressor responsible.
“This council must deny Israel for the free hand and impunity with which he continues to operate in challenge to international law and international opinion,” said Ambassador Iphtikhar Ahmad, permanent representative of Pakistan to the UN, told the Council of 15 members, while denouncing the “not justified and illegitimate agrocion” of Tel Aviv “against Iran” against Iran.
“Iran has the right to self -defense under article 51 of the UN Charter,” he said, adding that Israel’s actions in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen “reflect a continuous pattern of unilateral militarism.”
During the debate, the members of the Council agreed to a large extent: that the decallation and diplomacy are essential to avoid greater tension in a region that already groans under the weight of the compound conflict.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi requested the Security Council meeting, saying that Israel “has now crossed all red lines, and the international community should not allow these crimes to be unpunished.
Among those who supported the request of the council meeting were Pakistan, China and Russia.
