Pakistan wants to establish the crypto council to supervise the policy: report



Pakistan has said that he will establish a National Crypto Council to develop legislation for the sector, after a meeting with the digital assets of President Donald Trump, according to a Dawn local news site report.

The Council would be a dedicated advisory body consisting of government representatives, regulatory authorities and industry experts. It would supervise the development of policies and collaborate with the countries to develop standardized frameworks, added the report, citing a statement from the Ministry of Finance.

Until last year, the Ministry of Finance of the Nation had opposed to regulate cryptography in the country, however, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurengzeb said he would analyze the matter with an open mind, he said in a statement. He also emphasized the importance of a well -regulated digital asset framework, the report added.

Aurengzeb also attended a meeting with a foreign delegation that is said to include the digital asset advisors of President Donald Trump on Tuesday.

The nations have been looking at the US that has been moving to create friendly policies with cryptographic from Trump’s choice.
