Expressing deep concern over the unjustified aggression of the Afghan Taliban regime along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the Ministry of External Affairs warned that any further provocation would receive an “unwavering and appropriate response”.
Pakistan is deeply concerned about the unwarranted aggression of the Afghan Taliban, Fitna-e-Khawarij and Fitna-e-Hindustan along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on the night of October 11-12, 2025, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of External Affairs on Sunday.
He added that such unprovoked actions aimed at destabilizing the Pakistan-Afghanistan border contradict the overall spirit of peaceful neighborliness and cooperative relations between the two brotherly countries.
Pakistan, exercising its right of self-defence, not only effectively repelled attacks along the border but also inflicted heavy losses on the Taliban forces and their allies. Khwarjisin terms of men, material and infrastructure, stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
These infrastructures were used to plan and facilitate terrorist attacks against Pakistan. In our specific and precise response, all possible measures were taken to avoid collateral damage and protect civilians, the ministry added.
Pakistan highly values dialogue and diplomacy and a mutually beneficial relationship with Afghanistan. At the same time, the Government of Pakistan continues to closely monitor the situation and will take all possible measures to safeguard its territory and the lives of its people. Any new provocation will receive an unwavering and appropriate response, the FO stated.
Pakistan strongly rejects the claims and insinuations of the Acting Afghan Foreign Minister in India to divert attention from the presence of terrorist elements in Afghanistan. By making these baseless claims, the Taliban regime cannot absolve itself of its responsibilities towards regional peace and stability, he added.

The continued presence of terrorist elements on Afghan soil and the freedom of activities they enjoy in Afghanistan are well documented in the reports of the United Nations Monitoring Team. The fight against terrorism is a common cause. Instead of transferring responsibilities, the Taliban regime should fulfill its commitment to not allow its territory to be used for terrorism against other countries, as well as play its due role in achieving peace and stability in the region and beyond, according to the statement.
Pakistan has repeatedly shared its concerns related to the presence of Fitna-e-Khawarij and Fitna-e-Hindustan operating from Afghan soil. Pakistan hopes that the Taliban regime will take concrete and verifiable measures against these terrorist elements.
Pakistan, in a spirit of good neighborliness, Islamic brotherhood and humanity, has generously welcomed some four million Afghans for more than four decades. Pakistan will take all necessary measures to regulate the presence of Afghan nationals on its territory, in accordance with international norms and laws.
Pakistan desires a peaceful, stable, friendly, inclusive, regionally connected and prosperous Afghanistan. Pakistan expects the Taliban regime to act responsibly, fulfill its commitments and play a constructive role in achieving the shared goal of eradicating terrorism from its soil. We also hope that one day the Afghan people will be emancipated and governed by a truly representative government, the statement concludes.
