  • Modi “Organized Drama” says for votes in the next elections in India.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif warned on Friday that Pakistan would attack if India builds any structure in the Indo River in violation of the Indo Water Treaty.

Islamabad and New Delhi are experiencing a period of augmented tensions since the April 22 attack against tourists in the picturesque tourist city of Pahalgam in illegally occupied India Jammu and Cashmira (Iiojk), in which at least 26 people were killed.

Nueva Delhi linked Islamabad to the attack without providing any evidence and took a wave of punitive measures to degrade ties, including the suspension of the IWT, revoke Pakistani visas and close the Wagah-Attari border crossing, among others.

Islamabad, in response, ordered the expulsion of Indian diplomats and military advisors, canceling visas for Indian nationals, with the exception of Sij pilgrims and closing the crossing of the main border on its side. Islamabad also denied his participation in the attack and offered to participate in a credible and transparent investigation.

Speaking in the PakGazette news program “Naya Pakistan”, the Minister of Defense said: “Certainly, if they try to build any type of structure, we will attack it.” He said that building any structure in the Indo River by raping the IWT would be seen as an Indian aggression against Pakistan.

“The aggression is not just about shooting cannons or bullets; it has many faces. One of those faces is [blocking or diverting water]What could cause deaths due to hunger and thirst, “he added.

The Security Tsar warned: “If they make any architecture attempt, then Pakistan will destroy that structure.”

“But for now, we go to the forums available for us, starting from the IWT [Indus Waters Treaty]. We will pursue this matter. “

The minister was of the opinion that it would not be easy for New Delhi to violate the IWT, and added that Islamabad would address the interested parties on the unilateral suspension of the IWT by the Indian government.

The Defense Minister criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “organizing the drama” to obtain political profits in the context of the next elections.

In response to a question, the minister said that the global pressure on India has increased more than ever. “I will not say that the threat has been avoided,” he added.

The minister elaborated that New Delhi failed to obtain the global support he expected, adding that the Government led by Modi could not present evidence in support of his false statements. Asif also said that the international community rejected Modi’s accusations against Pakistan.

Referring to the rhetoric and accusations of India against Pakistan, the minister said: “India is continuously inciting, but we will only take retaliation measures.”
