Pakistan will install three new submarine cables, accelerating the 5g deployment

Pakistan is ready for an important digital update this year while the Government prepares to establish new underwater Internet cables to strengthen connectivity and admit 5G technology deployment.

The Federal Minister of Information Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, said Thursday that the project would not only improve Internet speed but also improve reliability, reduce interruptions and unlock broader economic opportunities, according to a statement published by the state station. Pakistan radio.

“The new cables will expand the bandwidth capacity, reduce dependence on the oldest systems and place Pakistan as a stronger participant in global digital networks,” Fatima said.
