The head of the Army personnel (COA), the general also, reiterated the firm resolution of the country to counteract terrorism and support the development in Baluchistan, during an interaction with the participants of the 15th Baluchistan National Workshop held at the general headquarters of Rawalpindi.

Speaking in Monday’s event, Coas Munir stressed the government’s commitment to socioeconomic elevation in Baluchistan, public relations between services (ISPR) said in a statement.

“The scale and scope of continuous and planned initiatives should serve to dissipate flagrant misinformation in this regard,” he said. “Many development projects have already begun to bear fruit, benefiting the people of Baluchistan,” he added.

He praised civil society, particularly the efforts led by young people, for promoting consciousness and contributing to the progress of the province. “His role is critical to allow progress that leads to prosperity,” the COA added.

Highlighting security concerns, General Munir warned that terrorism sponsored abroad remains the most serious threat to Baluchistan’s stability. “The nefarious designs of hostile elements, which seek to incite violence, spread fear and destabilize the province, will not be allowed to succeed,” he said.

He condemned those who, under Baloch’s appearance, are dedicated to terrorism. “The terrorist groups that perpetrate terror in the name of Baloch’s identity to advance in his small insidious agenda are a stain in Baloch’s honor and patriotism,” he said.

Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to La Paz, he said, “Pakistan seeks peace in the region and beyond, however, if the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan are violated, Pakistan will respond with full strength to preserve his national prestige and his well -being of his people.”

Coas Munir said that the armed forces and the agencies of application of the law, backed by the support of the nation, will continue their campaign to eliminate terrorism.

“The armed forces and the application agencies of the Law of Pakistan will continue to fight against the threat of terrorism with the full support of the people of Pakistan,” he concluded.

The workshop organized a diverse group of parliamentarians, bureaucrats, members of civil society, youth, academia and media representatives, with a strong focus on the representation of Baluchistan. Its objective was to equip the future leadership of the province with a deeper vision of national and provincial challenges.
