During the official visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Belarus, Pakistan and Belarus agreed to send more than 150,000 trained and skillful young people from Pakistan to Belarus. In addition, several agreements were signed to improve military cooperation and increase trade between the two countries.

Before this, a bilateral meeting between President Belaruso and Prime Minister Shehbaz at the Palacio de la Independencia in Minsk took place. A consensus was reached to develop a comprehensive action plan to send more than 150,000 Pakistani workers qualified to Belarus.

The prime minister was well received upon his arrival in Belarus by President Alexander Lukashenko. The Armed Forces presented an honor guard, and the national hymns of both countries were played.

After the welcome ceremony, an official event was held where representatives of both nations signed several agreements and comprehension memorandes (MOU). Among these, a military cooperation agreement was signed between the Pakistan and Belarus Defense Ministries.

In addition, the Commercial Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Chamber of Commerce and Belarusa Industry held a cooperation agreement. An agreement was also signed between the postal departments of the two countries to facilitate the exchange of postal articles.

Both nations agreed to collaborate in agricultural development and the manufacture of agricultural machinery. The joint efforts will also be made in the production of electric vehicles and buses, as well as to improve food security. Defense cooperation and company to company associations will be strengthened.

The two leaders also discussed several issues, including trade, investment and regional problems. They expressed satisfaction on recent positive developments in the general relationship between Pakistan and Belarus.
