Islamabad:
Pakistan has assured his first gold medal in the prestigious International Olympiad of Sciences.
Abdul Raffay Paracha won the gold medal for Pakistan in the 35th International Biology Olympiad held in the Philippines.
Pakistan has participated in the International Physics Olympiad since 2001, the International Mathematics Olympiad since 2005 and the Olympics of Biology and Chemistry since 2006.
More than 380 students have represented Pakistan in the International Sciences Olympics, ensuring 140 medals, while more than 4,500 students have received training in more than 240 training camps held in the HEC Institutes.
