Pakistan’s men’s and women’s cricket stars conveyed their heartfelt wishes to the nation on Eid ul Fitr, a holy festival celebrated by Muslims across the world with devotion, gratitude and togetherness.

In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on its social media, members of the men’s national cricket team, including ODI and T20I captains Shaheen Shah Afridi and Salman Ali Agha respectively, shared special messages for fans.

“[…] On behalf of the Pakistan cricket team, I wish you all a very happy Eid. Take care of yourself and celebrate Eid with your friends and family,” Shaheen said.

Besides them, several national cricketers including Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, Sahibzada Farhan, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Faheem Ashraf along with youngsters Saad Masood, Abdul Samad, Shamyl Hussain and Maaz Sadaqat sent their Eid wishes.

In a separate video shared by the cricket board on social media, Pakistan’s women cricketers including Sidra Amin, Muneeba Ali, Nashra Sandhu and Tuba Hassan also extended their heartfelt Eid greetings to the nation.

The women’s cricket team is currently enjoying a short break, with its next international assignment scheduled for May – a T20I tri-series against the West Indies and hosts Ireland, in preparation for the 2026 T20 World Cup, which will take place from June 12 to July 5.

The domestic men’s cricketers, on the other hand, will feature in the much-awaited Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, scheduled to be played from March 26 to May 3.

In the historic 11th edition of the premier league, eight teams, including two new entrants, RawalPindiz and Hyderabad Kingsmen, will compete in 44 matches from March 26 to May 3.

PSL 11 will begin with defending champions Lahore Qalandars taking on Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen at their home on March 26.
