Pakistan’s police force has gained significant international recognition since Asp Anum Sher Khan assured the first place in the category of “Excellence in Criminal Investigation” at the 2025 World Police Summit.
According to a Punjab police spokesman, the award was given to Anum Sher Khan in a prestigious ceremony held at the Dubai World Trade Center.
The prize was delivered by the commander in chief of the Dubai Police. The officers of 192 countries were evaluated in several categories for their exceptional performance.
Representing Pakistan, Asp Anum Sher Khan impressed international judges with their professional experience and behavior, winning maximum honor. The prize recognizes its outstanding contributions in the field of criminal investigation.
The Punjab Police Inspector, Dr. Usman Anwar, congratulated Anum Sher Khan for his remarkable achievement, stating: “His success has brought Pakistan and Punjab Police on the world stage.”
“Talented officers such as Asp Anum Sher Khan will play a vital role in the future police leadership,” he added.
According to Punjab police spokesman, the World Police Summit is one of the largest and professional global platforms for police leadership. Recognize officers every year for their excellent leadership and innovative surveillance methods.
After rigorous evaluations and interviews, the Awards Committee selected two Punjab police officers this year.
The second honore, Dpo Kasur Muhammad Essa Khan, received second place in the “best implementation of artificial intelligence in surveillance” for his exemplary performance.
