Dubai: Pakistani police officer Anum Khan Muhammad Sher, who served as a police officer at the Police Station of the city of Sargodha, has proud of the nation by winning the prestigious prize of ‘Excellence in Criminal Investigation’ in the 2025 World Police Summit, held in Dubai.
The international honor recognizes its exceptional research work and professional leadership, placing the application of Pakistan’s law on the global stage.
The prize was delivered during a great ceremony organized by the Dubai Police, which was attended by police leaders and security experts from more than 90 countries.
Anum Khan obtained this recognition for leading and resolving two high -profile murder investigations in the province of Punjab in Pakistan. In the first case, he supervised the investigation into the tragic death of the 12 -year -old domestic worker Ayesha Bibi, who was brutally murdered. Under his command, the Sargodha police arrested the suspects within 72 hours, obtaining a generalized appreciation of public and government officials, including Punjab Prime Minister.
In another notable case, he directed the rapid arrest of suspects involved in the murder of a young man named Mohsin, ensuring justice in just 24 hours. Both investigations demonstrated not only their command on research procedures, but also their commitment to timely and fair justice. His leadership in these cases had obtained his official recommendation and recognition of the Punjab Police.
Organized under the sponsorship of the Eau Government, the World Police Summit is one of the most prominent global platforms to recognize excellence in surveillance. Anum Khan was chosen among more than 900 presentations around the world, highlighting the importance of his contribution.
Speaking after receiving the prize in Dubai, Anum Khan said: “It is a moment of pride for Pakistan and the Punjab police. I feel honored to represent my country and demonstrate that we are able to not only maintain the law and order, but to achieve international surveillance standards. This award is a tribute to my entire team and the values that we take into account.”
His achievement is considered a significant milestone for the application agencies of Pakistan’s law, particularly the Punjab police, since it reflects the growing professionalism and capacity of its officers. It also sends a powerful message that the women of the Pakistani police are playing a main role in the configuration of the future of the application of the law, both nationally and internationally.
