Pakistani tennis player Talha Waheed enters Guinness World Records


Senior Pakistani Talha Waheed has officially entered the world -world records of Guinness, establishing a new reference point for the most successful tennis services in a minute (man).

A veteran competitor in national and international senior tennis, Talha has won multiple national titles in the categories of doubles of 35+, 40 and over 45 years.

Internationally, he has participated in ITF World Classification Tournaments, reaching a ranking of 144 in the doubles category of more than 40 years.

Talha set out to overcome the previous record of 42 successful portions in one minute, held by John Perry of the United States since 2019. After an intensive three -month training program, he made his official attempt on November 8, 2024, in Lahore, adhered to Guinness World Records guidelines.

On March 10, 2025, Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement of Talha, officially recognizing it as the new head of the world record.

The president of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), AISAM-UL-HAQ QUREshi, together with Secretary General Colonel Zia-Dud-Din Tufail and other PTF officials, congratulated Talha for his milestone.

“The achievement of Talha is unique, and ensuring a place in the Guinness book of world records is not an easy task,” said Qureshi. “This will serve as a great inspiration and a great boost for tennis in Pakistan.”
