India has blocked more than a dozen Pakistani YouTube channels, after its coverage of the Pahalgam incident.
The channels reported on the attack of the pahalgama and had exposed discrepancies in the narrative of the Government of Modi with respect to the events, which led the Indian authorities to accuse the Pakistani channels of spreading “deceptive and provocative content.”
Other affected channels include independent journalist platforms and thematic channels.
The Indian authorities alleged that these channels were spreading deceptive information against the Government and the Indian military, although specific examples were not publicly cited.
Collectively, the forbidden channels had a subscriber base that exceeded approximately 66 million.

Pahalgama attack and diplomatic consequences
On Tuesday, 26 men were killed in a tourist site in the Pahalgam area of India, illegally occurred to Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk), shot dead in a meadow. India claimed to present any evidence that there were Pakistani elements linked to the attack, a claim that Islamabad denies.
On Wednesday, the Indian Cabinet Security Committee approved a series of actions that include closing the Wagah-Attari land traffic point, advising Indian citizens who do not travel to Pakistan and formally notify Islamabad from the suspension of the Indo Water Treaty.
In response, the National Security Committee (NSC) of Pakistan warned Thursday that any attempt in India to block the flow of water in Pakistan would be treated as an act of war. The statement followed a high -level NSC meeting, which also approved the closure of the Wagah border crossing.
On Friday, the Pakistan Senate unanimously approved a resolution that rejected the accusations of India that link Pakistan with the Pahalgam attack, calling them without foundation and politically motivated.
