Pakistan’s army warned about a “safe and decisive” response to any Indian attempt to impose a war, after what he called provocative actions of New Delhi after Pahalgam’s mortal attack, the army’s media wing reported.
According to a statement issued by Public Relations between Services (ISPR), a conference of commanders of the Special Body (CCC) was chaired by the head of the Army personnel (COAS) Syed also at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Friday Amid tensions between the two nuclear neighbors.
The conference occurs after the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, India illegally occupied Jammu and Cashmira (Iiojk), which left 26 dead tourists. India has blamed Pakistan for the incident without presenting evidence, which led Islamabad to categorically deny participation and offer to participate in a “credible and transparent research.”
India responded with scan measures, including the suspension of the Indo Water Treaty, revoke visas for Pakistani citizens and close the border crossing of Wagah-Attari. In retaliation, Pakistan expelled Indian military diplomats and advisors, canceled visas for Indian citizens, with the exception of Sijs pilgrims, and closed the border crossing on his side.
During the special session of military leadership, the forum carried out a detailed review of the prevailing geostrategic environment, with an approach to the confrontation of Pakistan-India and the broader concerns of regional security.
Pakistan’s army reaffirmed his “unwavering resolution of defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against any aggression or misfortune.”
Coas Munir praised “unwavering professionalism, firm morality and operational preparation” of the Armed Forces, emphasizing unity with the people of Pakistan to “defend the homeland at all costs.” He emphasized the importance of “greater surveillance and proactive preparation on all fronts.”
The forum expressed “serious concern for the intensification of Indian atrocities in Iiojk,” particularly after Pahalgam’s incident, and condemned the “continuous addressing of innocent civilians throughout the control line (LOC) for the forces of Indian occupation.”
“It was reiterated that such inhuman and unpaved acts serve only to intensify regional tensions and will meet a resolved and proportional response,” the statement said.
The commanders noticed the “consistent pattern of crisis exploitation of India to achieve political and military objectives”, accusing it of following “a predictable template, whereby internal governance failures are outsourced.”
The ISPR also declared: “These incidents have often coincided with unilateral movements of India to alter the status quo, as seen in 2019 when India similarly exploited the incident of pulwama to unilaterally alter the Status quo de Iiojk, by revocation of article 370”.
Referring to the current episode, the military said that the attack of the pahalgama “seems to be part of a deliberate strategy to divert the Pakistan approach away from the western front, as well as the continuous national efforts for the economic rebirth; the two fronts where Pakistan is gaining decisive and sustainable terrain.”
“Such fun tactics aimed at providing operational breathing space to Indian terrorist proxies will never succeed,” said the forum.
The army also expressed concern that India tries to arm water exploiting the Pahalgam incident to undermine the Treaty of Indo’s waters. “This constitutes a dangerous attempt to arm water, threaten the livelihood and livelihood of more than 240 million Pakistanis and growing strategic instability in southern Asia,” he warned.
In addition, the forum expressed “deep alarm on credible evidence of direct participation in Indian military and intelligence in the orchestration of terrorist activities within Pakistan”, describing them as “actions sponsored by the State” and “a shameless violation of international standards that are universally unacceptable.”
By reaffirming Pakistan’s resolution, the army said: “Deliberate destabilization efforts of the Indian government will be faced and defeated with resolution and clarity.”
The conference concluded with Coas Munir expressing “full confidence in operational preparation, the deterrence of deterrence and morals of all the strategic formations and forces to defend the nation throughout the spectrum of threats.”
