Multiplatform work should now be much easier fucking the launch of Parallels Desktop 26, the latest version of the popular virtualization software for Mac.
The update introduces compatibility with macos 26 Tahoe and Windows 11 25h2, as well as a variety of tools aimed at individual users and IT equipment.
Among its new features is Internet Speed Booster, a mysterious addition with few available details about what it really does, but its presence can capture the attention of users who execute bandwidth tasks within virtual machines.
Macos 26 changes
“With Parallels Desktop 26, we are offering compatibility with the latest Apple macOS and new powerful tools for IT teams and developers that depend on parallels every day,” said Prashant Ketkar, director of Technology and Product Product in Parallels.
“This launch reflects our continuous commitment to Apple’s innovation and our focus on allowing companies and administrators of IT to manage and safely their Mac environments.”
PARALLELS DESKTOP 26 Improves the way in which Windows virtual machines read space on the Mac disc.
The Microsoft operating system can now show the really available storage in the host MAC, reducing possible errors during large facilities or software updates.
The software also takes into account how Macos 26 manages the background processes, which allows characteristics such as the mode of coherence to continue working without interruption.
The update also adds new centralized management options for business users. Administrators may soon apply policies that control the configuration such as shared folders, USB access and clipboard exchange.
The software has renewed its SOC 2 type II compliance, which admits companies that have to comply with strict internal and external security standards.
There is a new guide to implement individual Windows applications in MACS without requiring users to execute a complete Windows environment and integration with JAMF Pro to monitor and manage Windows updates within virtual machines.
The scripts provided by PARALALLS will allow IT teams to execute scans or start facilities remotely.
PARALLELS DESKTOP 26 is available in Standard editions, PRO, Business and Enterprise, but continues to be offered only as a subscription.
The lack of a perpetual license option will undoubtedly be a disappointment for many, especially users in the long term.
