Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee ripped his former team Sunday after watching them get eliminated from playoff contention in a loss to the New York Giants.
Indianapolis had three turnovers and allowed four touchdown passes to Drew Lock in a 45-33 loss. The Colts fell to 7-9 on the season and were officially out of contention.

“A blind person could see the red flags on this team. Work ethic questions NEVER happens on good teams. Preparation commitment questions NEVER happens on good teams. Being late to meetings NEVER happens on good teams. Late to/skip treatment, NEVER happens on good teams… Franchise QB (Anthony Richardson) left a game… on third down… in the red zone… because he was tired… NEVER HAPPENED in NFL history,” he wrote McAfee.
“That’s literally the only thing you need to tell someone (who knows baseball) and they can tell you everything about this team…”
He wrote that if a franchise quarterback left in the middle of a game because he was tired, the “immediate response” would be that the team “has no chance.”
“And to no one’s surprise… that was the response from everyone who has ever played/coached the game before, but… Colts blogs and fans who have been covering the Colts since 2020 and more recently They knew better than everyone… They started attacking me personally and trying to run me out of town,” McAfee continued.
BAKER MAYFIELD’S 5 TOUCHDOWNS KEEP BUCS’ PLAYOFF HOPES ALIVE IN WIN OVER PANTHERS
“When I said Joe Flacco gives us a better chance to win than AR immediately after the tap out… I would have said any backup QB we had on the roster. That can’t be what the face of your team is doing. Just It can’t be… and in the broader aspect of all this, somehow AR thought it was okay to do that. That’s a locker room thing… it’s a cultural thing… that’s an indicator of an attitude. of loser that radiates through a building that was built by greats.
“I have no idea how they fix it… I don’t think it’s like a light switch. ‘Okay, now we’re going to go pro,’ but… maybe it is, but what do I know?”
“Oh wait…..how was this all going to work out. I knew that.”
McAfee added that he would not renew his season tickets and hoped the team would return to winning ways.
“As a multi-year season ticket holder (without renewal)… and someone who has actively tried, on a daily basis, to be a contribution to this beautiful city. I hope they become a good franchise again… this city deserves it…the OGs in the Colts building deserve it (team managers, coaches, ticket sales, PR, sales)…and on the other hand, the players/coaches in that building deserve what they pass on to them. laziness and unprofessionalism has led to ANOTHER early vacation… which is probably what most of you entitled bums were waiting for.
“I don’t speak for the city… and I don’t speak for all the former Colts players because I was just a gambler… three-time HOF nominee, but still… I speak from my own perspective… I have never “I’ve seen one group waste more opportunities, talents and money than this group.”
McAfee was a two-time Pro Bowler with the Colts from 2009 to 2016.
