Patrick Mahomes officially has a new aspect.
The star marshal of the Kansas City Chiefs announced his new haircut during the weekend, showing a marked deviation from his previous style. Mahomes no longer has his signature Mohawk, a defining feature of his image during the first eight years of his NFL career.
Now, it has a simple trimmed style with fading on the side.
The Barber Dejuan de Mohomes, who has been cutting the hair of the field marshal since his rookie year in 2017, told Pak Gazette Digital about the possible reason why Mohamses chose to go with such drastic change.

“I only think that with the end of the season, frustration maybe, as ‘you know what, I have done. It’s time for a new look, change,’ and I think that is more or less what caused its sudden need,” Bonds said. “It was probably a bit [frustration]Then there was, ‘hey, you know, it’s time for a new look’.
Later, Bonds added that the frustration “possibly” played in the decision that Mohamcs cut his hair in such a different way, but I cannot say it with certainty.
Bonds also said that Mahomes was looking for a more “adult” and “mature” appearance with this new style.
It was not the first time that Mohamses proposed the idea of a drastic change in ties hairstyle. The barber said that Mahomes previously mentioned the idea of obtaining a shorter haircut when the field marshal was preparing for the birth of his first son, daughter Sterling, who was born in February 2021.
But Bonds gave Mohomes, taking out the fact that the field marshal had a remarkable success with the Mohawk. At that time, Mohamses had already won a Super Bowl award, an MVP prize in the League, and was ascending as one of the best players in the league.

“Then, after this season it was when we said: ‘Well, let’s spend the season, and then we’ll talk about cutting it.”
When Mohamses made this decision, he initially told Bonds that he wanted to “cut it.”
“Many times, when someone says: ‘Cut it’, they really don’t know. They are just saying something. I, as an experienced barber, I know that ‘cutting it” does not really mean “cut it,” Bonds said.
If Bonds had heard Mohamcs without any setback, then the barber would have proceeded to give the field marshal a cut so low that it would have been considered a fading of the skin.
“It could have been very low, but I know it better than that. I know better than following anyone’s instructions when they” simply cut it “unless I ask them several times, and they say yes, and they want it all the way out, and I know I didn’t want that, “Bonds said.
And Bonds believes that if he gave Mohams the complete treatment of “cutting it”, he would have had the inverse effect that Mohamses was looking for in terms of trying to seem older and more mature.

“I would advise you not to do that unless I would like to return to a 17 -year -old Mohamses,” Bonds said, referring to the hairstyle of Mahomes in high school when it was essentially just a skin fading. “Even with the haircut he obtained at this time, he made it seem much younger, but if he did something like that, he would even look younger, and I don’t think he wants to look younger like that.”
Then, however, the Bonds proceeded with the haircut that I had in mind for Mohamses. As I was, TVs in Purple Lable Luxury Barbershop in Overland Park, Kansas, had NBA games, while talking about basketball.
Bonds retired to Mahomes once he tweeted on Luka Doncic’s trade during a haircut before the Super Bowl, while ESPN’s “SportsCenter” played on television, and then seeing that Mahomes’s tweet is discussed only a few minutes later During the same haircut.
And then, after the haircut ended, and the new appearance of Mohamses was cemented, the field marshal smiled.
“He basically smiled and said: ‘Yes, I like that,” Bonds said.
Bonds is now ready to travel to give Mahomes a tracking cut on Thursday to maintain appearance.
