Paul Mescal seems to play characters as if they were real and have feelings and emotions.

“I love Lionel,” he shares, adding: “It is the longest I have lived with any character. I have waited five years to interpret it, and I am very grateful to have done it. I think he is an extraordinary man.”
In another part of the interview, the Gladiator II Star says there was no discomfort when acting with co -star Josh O’Connor as lovers, calling experience as a “fun summer camp.”
Regarding the sexuality of his new role, Paul says: “I think the characters attract me regardless of their sexuality.”
He continues: “I think, as, I am learning more and more, since I do this work that, unless you have something to say about who these people are, unless I know fundamentally or have a different opinion about them, I will not.”
In The History of Sound’s Logline he says: “Lionel Worthing (Paul), a talented singer in the rural area of Kentucky who leaves his family farm to attend the Boston Conservatory of Music. There he meets the student David White (played by Josh O’Connor), and the couple develops an intimate relationship.”
