The Provincial Disaster Authority (PDMA) PUNJAB has issued a high -level flood warning as water levels continue to increase in the Sutlej and Ravi rivers, with recent erosion reports on the riverbank and damage to crops in Bahawalpur.
According to PDMA, Sutlej downstream in Ferozepur faces the high risk of flooding, with adjacent currents and drains, it is also expected to swell more.
High floods were recorded in Ganda Singh Wala, while Sutlej reported an average flood on Sulemanki’s head, according to PDMA.
River Ravi registered a flow of 90,000 CUSECs in Jassar and 40,000 Cusecs in Shahdara.
Meanwhile, the Indo River is in a state of low flood in Kalabagh and Chashma. Water flows in Tarbela and Taunsa remain normal.

The authorities said that the Flow of the Indo had recently fallen from 500,000 to 250,000 CUSECs, but warned about a possible increase with the eighth spell of the monzónic rains.
In the Bahawalpur district, the situation of flooding in the Sutlej has worsened.
In Mari Qasim Shah, the intense erosion of the riverbank has eliminated hundreds of cultivation land acres, leaving anguished farmers.
The protective embankment in the area has also been violated, while the local administration has issued Ultimatums to residents to vacate their homes.
In the head of Panjnad, where the five rivers are found, the Sutlej water levels have increased to 106,000 cusecs.
The authorities warned that nearby areas, including Uch Sharif, face potential floods.
A maximum alert has been issued, and Riverside residents have begun to move to safer places after the administration made public ads urging evacuation.
The rain data of the last 24 hours show that Nareowal received the highest downpour at 103 mm, followed by Kasur at 96 mm, Lahore 38 mm, Gujrat 16 mm, Gujranwala 13 mm and died at 1 mm.
The MET office has predicted strong rains until August 27, particularly in Murree, Rawalpindi, Atock, Jhelum and Chakwal.
The levels of deposits have also increased significantly, with Tarbela Dam now to full storage capacity and Mangla Damd by 76 percent.

He also instructed the rescue and relief teams that remain deployed in vulnerable areas, warning families that keep children away from storm drains, low areas and ribraries during the situation of flooding.
The PDMA confirmed that despite heavy rains no loss of lives or properties in Punjab was reported in the last 24 hours.
