I loved the first two seasons of poker facebut I’m worried about a new cast being as good as the original. We have seen Rian Johnson change his cast a lot with characters like Knives outand recently admitted that he knew the perfect sequel to Wake up dead manwhere the lineup will likely change again.
but I’m worried poker face It won’t work without Lyonne’s brilliant performance. Part of me wonders if they should create a completely new character instead of trying to reinvent a new one.
So far, we do not know if the new version of poker face It will move forward, so we will have to wait and see what happens. However, I’m not convinced it’s that good after falling in love with Lyonne’s portrayal of Charlie, so while I’m sad poker face has been cancelled, I also feel very worried about a revival series.
As always, I’m happy to eat my words, but I don’t think it’s the right decision for the Peacock series, and I would have liked to see the third season instead.
