The legend of tennis Martina Navratilova defended the author of “Harry Potter” JK Rowling on Saturday when the writer received criticism from actor Pedro Pascal in a recent interview.
Rowling and Pascal have faced in the past on transgender issues, even after Rowling celebrated the ruling of the United Kingdom Supreme Court on the legal definition of a woman.

“The thugs make me f —— sick,” Pascal told Vanity Fair. “It is a situation that deserves the greatest elegance for something to happen.”
Rowling fired Pascal in a publication on social networks on Friday and Navratilova added it.
“Another Johnny is lately telling women to Stfu,” Navratilova wrote.
Navratilova is a lifelong Democrat, but has never faltered its impulse to prevent biological men from competing against girls and women in sport.

In the past, he has made it clear that he is not in favor of President Donald Trump, and a quick scan of his publications on social networks would underline that. However, he has lamented the inaction of the Democrats on the issue of transgender athletes who participate in sports of women and girls.
When Trump signed an executive order to prohibit biological men from women and girls sports, he triggered a fierce message towards the Democratic Party.
“I hate that the Democrats completely fail women and girls in this very clear issue of women’s sports only for women,” he wrote in an X publication.
He also expressed his frustration in January when the House of Representatives approved the protection of women and girls in the sports act. Only two Democrats voted with the Republicans in the bill.

“More Democrats must advance here. I know many who agree but are afraid to speak due to re -election. I say they do the right thing. Cultivate a column,” he wrote in X.
