The lawyer Jahangir Jadun asked the Registrar of the Superior Court of Islamabad (IHC) to obtain the audio-video recording of Tuesday’s hearing in Judge Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri in the case of suspension in the court of the president of the President.
The request argues that although the media reported that no order had been approved, then it was learned after the hearing that Judge Jahangiri had been suspended from judicial work.
The request specifically requests the audio-video recording of the Court 1 of September 16 at 1 PM, with a USB unit also submitted for the recording.

This motion comes after a Bank of two members led by the President of the Justice of IHC, Sardar Mohammad Sarfraz Dogar, sitting with Judge Mohammad Azam Khan, issued the order on Tuesday in a request presented by lawyer Mian Mian Daud against Judge Jahangiri ..
In addition to suspending their judicial functions, the Bank appointed two high -ranking lawyers, lawyer Zafarullah Khan and former Attorney General Ashtar Ausaf, as Amici Curiae to help consider the validity and maintainability of the case.
The IHC also issued a notice to the Pakistan Attorney General, looking for his opinion on whether the request that challenges the academic grades of Judge Jahangiri is admissible.
Making an exception to the order, the Islamabad Bar Association announced a strike on Wednesday (today) both in the IHC and in the District Court. He said that a general meeting of the body would decide the future course of action and that a demonstration would also be held.
Meanwhile, the court reviewed a revised service list, in which Judge Jhangiri is not included in any bank task, including single hearings and division.
On August 31, 2024, the union of the University of Karachi annulled the present “invalid” justice of Justice Jahangiri on the recommendations of the unjust committee of the University (UFM).

The statement issued by the University after the meeting did not mention the name of Judge Jahangiri, but pointed out that the Committee had proposed the cancellation of “the title cards and registration of candidates declared guilty of little ethical and immoral acts.”
The decision occurred only a few hours after the arrest of the member of the union, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, who, according to the reports, was collected by the police in an apparent attempt to prevent him from attending the key meeting.
However, the Sindh Superior Court on September 5, 2024 suspended the decision of the University of Karachi.
A Division Bank, which is included in Judge Salahuddin Panhwar and Judge Amjad Ali Sahito, also prohibited the University from taking more measures on a complaint against Judge Jahangiri while listening to a petition presented by the judge.
Legal sources say that Judge Jahangiri plans to challenge the IHC decision before the Supreme Court after receiving the written order.
