ISLAMABAD:
The government is preparing to impose an additional burden on inflation-hit citizens as a significant increase in the prices of petroleum products is expected from March 1.
According to government sources, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has completed its price calculations and prices of petroleum products are likely to rise up to Rs 6.88 per liter from March 1.
Sources said the price of petrol is expected to increase by Rs 4.58 per litre, while high-speed diesel may increase by Rs 4.73 per litre.
They further stated that the price of kerosene is likely to increase by Rs 6.88 per litre, and the price of light diesel may see an increase of Rs 5 per litre.
