It has been a quite long waiting game since the PGA Tour and Liv Golf announced their intention to join forces.
That shock announcement came on June 6, 2023, but in almost all accounts, no agreement is imminent.
Rory Mcilroy recently seemed to imply that these are those who defected to make an agreement, saying that “he takes two to Tango.”

The current champion of the teachers Scottie Scheffler shared a similar feeling earlier this week.
“I wish some of those guys had stayed, but at the end of the day, they made their decision. They knew the consequences of that decision, and I am not here to change my mind. I have no bad will towards any of those guys who left,” said Scheffler.
“They did what they wanted to do, and I cannot control their life. I will not sit here and say that they should have done something differently. They made their choice. If we want to discover why the golf game does not be together again, I will ask those boys. Go to where they are playing this week and discover when the game will be together again.”

The PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, recently called President Donald Trump “The Facilitator” in the ongoing discussions between the two parties.
Last month, the tour accredited Trump for “[getting] involved for the good of the game “, and it seems that there has been movement since it became involved.
“These conversations are real. They are substantial, and are being taken at the upper levels of both organizations. These conversations have been significantly reinforced by the disposition of President Trump to serve as a facilitator,” said Monahan earlier this month. “President Trump is a lifelong golf fan. He firmly believes in the power and potential of the game, and has been extremely generous in his time and influence to help unite an agreement. He wants to see the game reunified. We want to see the game reunified, and his participation has made the perspective of the reunification very real.”
Monahan added: “We believe that there is room to integrate important aspects of LIV’s golf on the PGA Tour platform”, and could imagine “a future” in which the governor of the Public Investment Fund Yasir Al-Rumayyan can join the Board of the Tour.
Trump last month expressed optimism, the two parties will get some Type of treatment made.

“They will have to gather,” he said. “They have had a lot of discussion from one place to another. Both mean and finally an agreement will happen. I think it will happen quite fast. It would be good to see the best golfers play each other.”
