Viktor Hovland became the latest PGA Tour star to have questions about his start through 2025.
The Norwegian golfer revealed in a social media post that he had broken his right pinky finger. He posted the X-ray image on his Instagram.

“Bed frame 1-0 for me,” she captioned the photo.
Hovland is looking to have a bounce-back year in 2025 after failing to win a single tournament in 2024. He won three times in 2023 (the Memorial Tournament, the BMW Championship and the Tour Championship) and gained momentum heading into 2024.
He nearly won the PGA Championship last season but finished third. Hovland finished tied for 12th in the FedEx Cup standings with Sam Burns.

In 114 career events played on the PGA Tour, Hovland has six wins and five second-place finishes. He has earned more than $31.3 million.
He is not the only golfer who could miss the start of the year.
Scottie Scheffler will already miss the first signature event of 2025. He needed surgery after injuring his hand on broken glass.
“Small shards of glass were left in the palm of his hand, which required surgery. He was told he should be back to 100% in three or four weeks,” said Scheffler’s manager, Blake Smith, adding that Scheffler has officially retired from playing. The Sentry.
Scheffler’s next scheduled tournament is the American Express, which begins January 16. This year, the Sentry is billed as a signature event, the first of eight.
