Pia announces a direct flight from Lahore to Paris

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the beginning of direct flight operations from Lahore to Paris, starting June 18.

According to PIA spokesman, the new route will offer a weekly flight from Lahore to the French capital. PIA currently operates two weekly flights on the Islamabad -Paris route.

The addition of Lahore’s flight -Paris aims to improve the convenience of trips for passengers and contribute to currency profits, said the national flag operator in a statement.

Earlier this year, PIA resumed its European operations after a four and a half year pause, with the PK-749 flight that left Islamabad to Paris, transporting 330 passengers and 14 crew members.

To the inaugural ceremony at the Islamabad International Airport, the Minister of Aviation, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the viceberise of the CEO of PIA, Amir Hayat, and the senior officials of the Civil Aviation Authority and the authority of the Pakistan airport.

Previously, Parliamentary Secretary Zeb Jaffar said that Pakistan International Airlines has been profitable since March 2024.

During the National Assembly questions, parliamentary secretary Zeb Jaffar said that Pia had recovered financially and resumed flights to the European Union, including services to Paris.
