Islamabad:
Pia canceled on Tuesday six round trip flights between Islamabad and the northern regions, causing serious inconvenience to passengers.
The canceled flights of the National Flag carrier included Islamabad to the routes of Gilgit PK-601, PK-605 and PK-603, while the return flights PK-602 and PK-604 of Gilgit to Islamabad also set. In addition, the PK-451 flight from Islamabad to Skardu was canceled.
Unexpected cancellations left stranded passengers and struggling to make alternative travel arrangements.
Meanwhile, a private airline operated its services scheduled for Skardu, with the PA-251 flight that left Islamabad and the return flight PA-252 successfully completing its trip.
