The Aviation Authority in the United Kingdom is expected to finally raise the prohibition of PIA flight operations in its territory at its next meeting, since the national flag carrier plans to relive its direct flight to Manchester from Islamabad on March 28 .
It is likely that the Security Review Board of the United Kingdom Department meets on March 15. Pakistan expects their airlines to finally resume their flights to the United Kingdom.
In the first phase, the national airline plans to operate flights from Islamabad to Manchester. In the second phase, PIA will begin flights from Islamabad and Lahore to London and Birmingham.
PIA Management has issued tenders for land management, restoration and crew hotels to complete arrangements for the United Kingdom flight operations.
According to a PIA spokesman, they are waiting for the United Kingdom department for the transport decision. If the decision is positive, flight operations will begin immediately.
He said that the United Kingdom market is a very important route for the PIA network. Passengers will receive international standard services.
