PIA to resume the United Kingdom flights since October 25


Pakistan International Airlines will begin its first phase of Islamabad flight operations to Manchester since October 25, operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

A spokesman for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) declared that flights to London will be added to operations in the second phase. “Our compatriots will now reach their destination in just eight hours, instead of a 15 -hour trip,” said the spokesman. “After a five -year -old gap, Pia is very excited to restart this route,” added the spokesman.

Pia’s flight will start from Islamabad at 12.00 pm and will arrive in Manchester at 5.00 pm local time. While the return flight will leave Manchester at 7.00 pm and will arrive in Islamabad at 7.00 am the next day.

At the beginning of September, PIA obtained a formal approval of the United Kingdom department for transport to operate as a third country operator, resuming flights after five years of suspension. The approval allows PIA to operate direct flights for both passengers and load.

The United Kingdom Department of the Kingdom issued a five -year ACC3 certification, which covers flight safety and load operations. These certifications renew confidence in PIA security protocols and operational standards.

The executive director of PIA, the vice president of Air Mariscal Muhammad Amir Hayat, praised the PIA team, recognizing the resistance of the team by completing multiple international audits for 5 years. He also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, VicePrimer Minister, the Ministry of Defense and the Civil Aviation Authority for its cooperation to ensure approval.

“This milestone is the result of persistent efforts and teamwork, and positions PIA once again to directly connect Pakistan with the United Kingdom,” said Amir Hayat.

The continuation of national transport flights to the United Kingdom marks significant development to strengthen commercial relations through load operations and potentially restore the confidence of passengers in the service.
