Rawalpindi:
The preparations for the six main processions of Ashura have been completed, including the processions of Zuljanah, Tazia and Alam in Rawalpindi.
The Ashura Security Plan has been approved and implemented immediately.
According to the plan, the rangers have been called, while the army units will remain on a red alert. The air surveillance of the processions will be carried out through helicopter.
According to officials, 8,500 police personnel, 700 Civil Defense volunteers and 100 voluntary women have been deployed for security. Mobile and Internet telephone services will remain suspended from 6:30 am at midnight on Ashura Day.
The monitoring of processions drones will also be carried out.
A control room has been established, and the pump removal squads will accompany the routes. Three ambulances will be parked at the front and rear of the processions, together with mobile medical clinics. After the MOHHrib prayers, IESCO’s light vehicles will provide lighting along the routes.
A prohibition for the conduction of income has been imposed, while the discharge of construction material, garbage or debris on the routes of the five main processions is strictly prohibited.
Mosques along the routes will remain closed, except during prayer times and otherwise they will be sealed. The speakers will only be allowed the call to prayer (Azan).
Stores and markets along the routes will remain closed and sealed.
Residents of houses, squares and shops along the routes have been forbidden to stand or look at the roofs or windows.
The police will be parked in the roofs in sensitive areas. The mounted police units will escort at the front and rear of the processions. The monitoring will be carried out through 350 closed circuit cameras.
The entrance to the processions will be strictly through the travel doors. The transport of matches, lighters, weapons or sticks has been prohibited.
The offenders will be accused under the anti -terrorism law. The storage of bricks or stones on the roofs along the procession routes has also been prohibited. The parking of vehicles and motorcycles along the routes is prohibited, and the offenders will have their confiscated vehicles.
On Ashura morning at the time of prayer of Fajr, all routes are sealed with containers, trucks and barbed wire.
A total of 137 streets and narrow lanes along the procession routes will also be sealed with tractors, cars, containers, cars and barbed wire, and police staff will also be displayed.
